EPIC Bonds Online Courses

Deepening the Journey: Theory, Practice and Reflection in Youth Work

The EPIC Bonds online courses complement the EPIC Bonds webinar series. Each short online course deepens the topics introduced during the webinar and provides additional perspectives, examples and reflection exercises related to youth work and education.

The modules explore how people think, make decisions and interact with others. They introduce selected concepts from cognitive science, psychology and social learning and connect them with practical situations that educators and youth workers may encounter in their work.

Structure of the learning journey

The programme consists of 12 thematic online courses, released gradually between Spring 2026 and Spring 2027, following the sequence of the webinar series.

Module Duration: 10-15 min Release: Every Monday & Thursday

The modules are designed as short learning units, allowing participants to engage with the content at their own pace. After each webinar, the corresponding online course becomes available. New modules are released twice a week, allowing participants to gradually explore the topic over several weeks.

Courses are available in: English, Polish, Lithuanian, Italian, Portuguese and Czech.

Pedagogical perspective or how to use ITE syllabus

ITE syllabus is conceived as a work in progress. An incomplete and open resource that it will grow and be enriched through the work of each person or facilitator using it.  We encourage all our potential users to feel free to recreate any scenario. The value of the ITE syllabus will increase by applying creative recombination: making changes or adaptation to achieve a more meaningful implementation of the scenarios according to the target group, the educational and socio-cultural milieu and the pedagogical personality of the facilitator. The ITE scenarios have been constructed inductively from the practical and experiential knowledge of NGO's professionals working as advocates of human dignity all over Europe. Nevertheless, our pedagogical position is grounded on social-critical and situated perspectives that make us to believe that:

  • the ITE scenarios are not tools to be applied, but possibilities to be enriched,
  • each facilitator can act as a critical educator making the adjustments and changes that assure the scenarios will serve to the aim of amplifying awareness about global justice meaningfully,
  • each participant has the capacity to act as autonomous subjects, able to apply critical reflection to change the course of his/her actions and seek out opportunities to accomplish a better life, a better world for all.
